A dead seed fallen on the ground
From it life springs forth like a fount
Someone's born while another takes their last breath
The duality of life vs. death
Some is done on purpose some in total vain
Some are walking round free some in ball and chains
The good die young and the evil reign
Some are celebrating some are crying out in pain
The lion roars the sheep falls the ground shakes
The forest dies down at his mandate
The strong survive is a lie that man made
I have seen the weak trample over high gates
And with high stakes man decides his own fate
As the hammer falls the heart cries in high pain
Jubilation rings when the stone mind change
Proving once again life is not a damn game
The victor raise his arms as the loser droops his head
The buzzard waits to live on the carcass of the dead
The graves crack open as the night falls
As the dead roam searching for the night crawl
Life begins at 40 or so the saying goes
Woe to those who chose to go before the cock crows
Reaching dusk but never seeing the dawn
The ones they left behind stand broken and torn
And we mourn for the fallen ones we love
As we fantasize that they're with God up above
We celebrate the fall of the children of the beast
Still we feign a tear and whisper gently "may he rest in peace"
The hypocrisy of man is beyond measure
In the pain of others some will tend to find pleasure
One man's trash is the next man's treasure
Stand your ground, fight your war, never fold to pressure
Life's an elevator it goes up and down
We graduate with death fully dressed in cap and gown
Where we go after, nobody truly knows
Is there another chapter? Does God save our souls?
Or does the pain persist? And is life a joke?
Do the good live on? Do our sorrows croak?
Is there darkness after? Or does the light persist
Will my life count after I enter the mist?
Where vanity lies, purpose cannot thrive
Where passion exists, purpose cannot hide
So we live our lives, one day at a time
Always treading forward, never look behind
Search for peace of mind, and a love divine
Many mountains we climb, in search of the shine
Can't get back lost time, so we gotta grind
On the death bed we cry, with regret on our minds
What good is the world, if you lose your soul?
When it's said and done, life will take its toll
We cannot control it, it's beyond our reach
That will not deter us from tryna reach the peak
If you find peace, you're a blessed man
