Life is a journey with ups and downs
That ends with death and every king loses his crown
Whether poor or rich you can't escape from time
So while you're still here make the best use of your life
One thing I've learned you can't avoid the pain
Set your sights on your goals and try to maintain
If your dreams come true you have the most to gain
And those that sit on their ass have no right to complain
Every man is searching for purpose and meaning in life
Some follow Buddha Muhammad some follow the Christ
Searching for a role that will fulfill their soul
And leave a legacy so great it will break the mold
Life is quite hard but easy to lose
You have to kung fu fight your way thru it like Bruce Lee
Don't live your life so loosely
Maintain your discipline to get yourself where you should be

So that others that follow may walk in your path

I feel my heart bleed coz I'm living for the moment
Living like a hedonist and I really can't control it
Tryna get my head in scripture maybe I can find a way
To get back on the path to a legacy that's great
Building on the foundation that was laid down in me
When I was younger and my heart and spirit were roaming free
Tearing down the walls of hate and with the use of my speech
Speaking words unto men that will bring liberty
hhmmm- Now that's a legacy worth living for
Everyday I wake my heart wages war
Will I leave a legacy of joy or a legacy of pain?
A legacy of pride or a legacy of shame?
Wait I realize that I got the answer
My legacy's growing inside me like a cancer
I feel my head rush and my heart beat
My heart bleeds these beats right there that's my legacy
